He's flushed, only about half from the jog across the apartment complex, and he has a backpack slung over one shoulder, containing a fleece blanket (for shivers) and a water bottle (for dehydration) and a few other emergency supplies tucked discreetly into the outer pocket.]

[ When she sees the second message she can't help but feel a little excited — at least before trying to calm herself down and walking to open the door.

She looks a little awkward; wearing her high school uniform because she didn't want to stay in her pajamas when a visitor is here.

Unfortunately, no. Even back home, I didn't sleep in a futon.

to think about anything else besides how nice this all feels, how he squeezes her hand and that alone makes her fluster when it earnestly makes her heart race when it logically shouldn't.
