The long version of the tour still isn't very long.

[She pauses, sniffing the air. She can definitely smell that, and her stomach growls a little...]

Does the long version start with cookies?

The tour starts upstairs, on the left.

[The new apartment is in a split-level townhouse complex, and so it's just ten steps up from the foyer to the upper floor, with its open-plan living room, dining room, and yes, kitchen, where there are three plates of cookies cooling on the counter.]

[awwww yeah. She can follow her nose up there after them, and she's already on cloud nine.]

They smell so good! You must be really good at baking.

I practice a lot. Mostly it turns out all right.

[He gestures at the plates in turn.]

Sugar cookies, chai cookies, snickerdoodles. You should try one of each.

[Hopefully that will help settle or soothe what's disturbing her. At least, it's a start.]

[He hasn't done that much teaching before, but it sounds like fun.]

Anyway. Here's the living room and the dining room. There are three bedrooms and a big bathroom downstairs, and a little bathroom up here on the right. Straight back from the living room through the patio door is the patio, the hot tub, and a little back yard with a nice tree.

Oh, wow... This place is so cool. How many people live here with you?

[She's just sort of... awed? People can have their own houses that aren't just what they got? It's weird.]

It was Chie and Yosuke, but Yosuke's moving out now. I guess we'll have someone new in that bedroom soon; we're still on the main apartment list.

Your friend's moving out? But new people are coming in? It sounds like you're busy, here...

In general, maybe. Not today.

Let's take some cookies out back, and we can talk.

[She looks down, face falling a bit at the memory of what she came here to talk about.

This place is really pretty, huh? Your house, and... All of of this world.

It is. I've been enjoying the chance to explore it...

Yeah...

It's probably the prettiest world I've ever visited.

[just. gonna start with that bit. she's been to a bunch of worlds, it's fine.]

... How many worlds have you visted?

It's my fourth. Or maybe third and a half.

[xioff]

[That gets her to sit up more sharply, paying attention, wide-eyed.]

I didn't know- I thought most people weren't allowed to visit other worlds? We did it as part of our missions as the Organization, but...

This world; the last world I was in, and then my home world and the Television World, which were... linked.

The last world was like this one - people wound up there without choosing to go there - but it wasn't... it wasn't as nice.

[It wasn't nice at all.]

I didn't know there were other worlds like this...

[Her shoulders slump a bit.]

I never found any worlds like that before. But I didn't get to go to many. In my time with the first Organization, I only got to see a few, and then only a couple more in the true Organization...

Yeah... Organization XIII.

[She looks down.]

Made of Nobodies... People without hearts.

[fridgeninja]

... I'm not sure what that means. But you don't have to explain, if you don't want to.

[His voice is careful, uncertain. He can see this is a sensitive subject, but... Xion seems like a person with a heart to him. A big, soft heart. So... what does it mean?]

[xioff]

[She nods. It's... not something she wants to talk about, much. Not really. But...

She holds out her hand, and the Kingdom Key appears in a flash of light.]

Have you ever met someone here who has one of these?

[His eyes go wide, with surprise but not really alarm, and he doesn't move, studying it closely.]

No. I'd remember.

[It vanishes again fairly swiftly.]

Some of them look pretty different... But they're called Keyblades. Only those chosen by it can wield it.

... Except for me. Only me.

[fridgeninja]

... Why?

[His voice is very gentle, his tone neutral but curious. She has to get through this in her own way, to say the things that are weighing on her. He's going to do his best to stay out of her way and just be... accepting, and encouraging, when she seems to need it.]
