Yeah...

It's probably the prettiest world I've ever visited.

[just. gonna start with that bit. she's been to a bunch of worlds, it's fine.]

... How many worlds have you visted?

It's my fourth. Or maybe third and a half.

[xioff]

-- You have?!

[That gets her to sit up more sharply, paying attention, wide-eyed.]

I didn't know- I thought most people weren't allowed to visit other worlds? We did it as part of our missions as the Organization, but...

[fridgeninja]

This world; the last world I was in, and then my home world and the Television World, which were... linked.

The last world was like this one - people wound up there without choosing to go there - but it wasn't... it wasn't as nice.

[It wasn't nice at all.]

[xioff]

I didn't know there were other worlds like this...

[Her shoulders slump a bit.]

I never found any worlds like that before. But I didn't get to go to many. In my time with the first Organization, I only got to see a few, and then only a couple more in the true Organization...

[fridgeninja]

The Organization?

[xioff]

Yeah... Organization XIII.

[She looks down.]

Made of Nobodies... People without hearts.

[fridgeninja]

... I'm not sure what that means. But you don't have to explain, if you don't want to.

[His voice is careful, uncertain. He can see this is a sensitive subject, but... Xion seems like a person with a heart to him. A big, soft heart. So... what does it mean?]

[xioff]

[She nods. It's... not something she wants to talk about, much. Not really. But...

She holds out her hand, and the Kingdom Key appears in a flash of light.]

Have you ever met someone here who has one of these?

[fridgeninja]

[His eyes go wide, with surprise but not really alarm, and he doesn't move, studying it closely.]

No. I'd remember.

[xioff]

[It vanishes again fairly swiftly.]

Some of them look pretty different... But they're called Keyblades. Only those chosen by it can wield it.

... Except for me. Only me.

[fridgeninja]

... Why?

[His voice is very gentle, his tone neutral but curious. She has to get through this in her own way, to say the things that are weighing on her. He's going to do his best to stay out of her way and just be... accepting, and encouraging, when she seems to need it.]

[xioff]

Because... I was made from someone else. I'm... not real. I'm a Replica. I was just made out of Sora's memories, and I was only made to take the rest, and all his power.

[It's not entirely right. She knows better. Now, she's not just a puppet. She's her own person, with her own life...

But, even so, she can't help it. Her fear is running wild.]

[fridgeninja]

[He reaches over and pokes a finger into her shoulder.]

... You feel real to me.

And none of us can control how we were made.

[xioff]

My heart was put into this body, but...

... Once, before, I did absorb all of Sora's memories. His memories, his power, everything. And when that happened, I even became him. My body was his.

[She grips her sleeve tightly.]

And then... While I wasn't myself, I had to be... destroyed. To save Sora and Roxas. To save everyone. So all of this... Waking up as other people... I'm scared.

[fridgeninja]

That sounds scary enough to go through even without this.

[He reaches over to take her hand and lace his fingers through hers.]

But, I can tell you... I think it only happens to people who go down to the festival?

And even when I looked like someone else, I was still me. Chie was still her. We just looked different.

[xioff]

... But you're real people. I'm not.

[She laces her fingers through his, squeezing tightly. She wants nothing more than to be real. She knows, on some level, she is. She is real, she isn't Sora. She's Xion. She's her own person...

... But the fear doesn't go away so easily.]

I was made from Sora's memories. Those are still in me, sort of. All my memories are of being a boy, even though I just want to be me. I'm scared of waking up, and everyone's forgotten me again, and I'm just- I'm just Sora again.

[fridgeninja]

[His hand squeezes back, gentle but insistent.]

I'm not going to forget you. I understand why you'd be scared. But if you want, I'll keep checking in with you through the festival, and let you know I know who you are.

[xioff]

[She nods, her hand tightly holding his, like she's afraid he might vanish... Or like she's afraid she might.]

... You're not weirded out or anything?

[fridgeninja]

I summon spirits from the sea of the unconscious that shoot fire or make my skin unbreakable. It's a little hard for me to know what's weird, these days.

[xioff]

You what from the what that do what?

[She's not weirded out, so much as just... genuinely uncomprehending.]

There are beings called Personas that have magic powers, and I can summon them to help me.

Most people where I'm from can't do that.

[xioff]

I see... I, um, don't really understand it, but it sounds pretty cool...
